He discusses the number of car accident related deaths in just Georgia alone and marvels at how no one seems to care about those statistics. When compared to other tragedies involving death, it seems like people are more likely to feel sympathetic towards non-automobile related incidences and want to find solutions to prevent them from happening again. When it comes to car accidents, people don’t seem to want to take the precautions needed to create safer driving situations. Klinkenberg concludes that people just don’t care enough about car accidents or about those dying or being injured on a daily basis.
